AIK - IFK Goeteborg

Can AIK stabilise their defensive structure as they host IFK Goeteborg at Strawberry Arena on 17 October 2026 for this Allsvenskan matchday 24 encounter? The hosts are expected to field a midfield-heavy setup featuring Axel Kouame and Lucas Assadi, tasked with shielding a backline that recently conceded six goals against Brommapojkarna. In contrast, the visitors arrive with significant momentum, relying on the attacking trio of Tobias Heintz, Alexander Simmelhack, and Nino Zugelj to exploit any lingering fragility in the home side's organisation.

IFK Goeteborg have enjoyed a productive run, including a narrow 1-0 victory over Vaesteraas SK, showcasing a disciplined approach that has seen them remain unbeaten in their recent league outings. AIK will look to replicate the success they found in their 2-1 win against the same opponents back on 5 July 2026. With both sides needing points for different reasons, the tactical battle between the expected XI units will likely define the outcome.
