Auxerre - Le Mans

Sunday afternoon at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps, Auxerre and Le Mans meet for matchday 8 of the Ligue 1 season. Both sides are looking to establish consistency in a competitive division, with the hosts aiming to build on the momentum of their recent victory. The expected XI for Auxerre features Paul Nardi in goal, with Cameron Archer and Danny Namaso leading the attack, while Le Mans are expected to rely on the forward pairing of Louis Mafouta and Dame Gueye to challenge the home defence.

Auxerre enter this fixture following a positive 3-1 result against Le Havre, a performance that helped steady their form after a difficult loss to Rennes. Conversely, Le Mans arrive searching for a response after a 3-0 defeat to Toulouse. With the sides last meeting in the top flight back in March 2010, the tactical battle between the midfield units will be decisive in determining who dictates the tempo.
