Barcelona - Deportivo Alaves

Lamine Yamal remains the creative heartbeat of Barcelona as they prepare to host Deportivo Alaves at Spotify Camp Nou on 31 October 2026 for matchday 11 of LaLiga. Despite a recent wobble that saw them fall to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, the expected XI features a formidable midfield trio of Rodri, Fermin Lopez, and Pedri tasked with regaining control. The squad faces significant defensive challenges with Eric Garcia, Xavi Espart, and Andreas Christensen all sidelined, placing extra pressure on the backline to protect Joan Garcia.

Deportivo Alaves arrive seeking a change in momentum after a difficult run that included a narrow defeat to Celta Vigo and a draw against Malaga. With Antonio Martinez and Lucas Boye leading the line, the visitors will look to exploit any defensive gaps left by the hosts' current injury crisis. While Barcelona have historically dominated this fixture, Alaves will hope to replicate their victory from May 13 2026 to unsettle their hosts.
