Barnsley - Cambridge U

Can Barnsley arrest a difficult run of results when they host Cambridge United at Oakwell Stadium on 17 October 2026 for matchday 11 of the League One season? The home side faces a tactical challenge to tighten a defense that has struggled to contain opponents in recent outings, notably in their 3-1 defeat to Stockport County. Barnsley will look to regain the attacking fluidity they displayed earlier in the campaign, relying on their ability to transition quickly through the middle of the pitch to disrupt the visitors' defensive structure.

Cambridge United arrive in a more settled state, buoyed by a narrow 1-0 victory over Blackpool in their most recent league fixture. While their previous meetings have seen varied outcomes, including a 1-1 draw in March 2025, the visitors have shown consistent resilience on the road. Watch for how Cambridge United manages the midfield battle, as they aim to maintain their unbeaten momentum against a Barnsley side desperate for points.
