Benfica - Lech Poznan

Benfica enter this Europa League matchday 4 encounter at Estadio da Luz following a productive stretch that includes emphatic European victories over Celtic and Omonia Nicosia. Their domestic form remains steady, with a recent league win against Alverca keeping momentum high. In contrast, Lech Poznan arrive at the stadium navigating a mixed period. While they secured a notable victory against Legia Warszawa in the Ekstraklasa, their European campaign has been tested by a heavy defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and a draw with Sunderland.

This meeting marks a return to a fixture that previously saw Benfica dominate in the 2020 group stage, including a 4-0 win at home. Benfica are expected to start with Vangelis Pavlidis leading the attack, while Lech Poznan must contend with the absences of Mikael Ishak and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh. As both sides seek to solidify their standings, the tactical battle between the expected XIs will define the outcome.
