Cesena - Empoli

Cristian Shpendi remains the focal point for Cesena as they prepare to host Empoli on 27 October 2026 for this Serie B matchday 9 fixture. The forward is expected to lead the line for the hosts, who are currently navigating a difficult run of results after a heavy 3-0 defeat against Modena. With Antonio Fiori missing due to suspension, the midfield trio of Matteo Francesconi, Marco Dalla Vecchia, and Matteo Guidi will need to provide defensive stability and creative sparks to help the side rediscover their rhythm after failing to secure a win in their last six league outings.

Empoli arrive at Orogel Stadium-Dino Manuzzi facing their own challenges, having struggled to find consistency following a 2-0 loss to LR Vicenza. The visitors will be without the suspended Marco Curto and injured Gerard Yepes, placing additional pressure on Filippo Bandinelli to anchor the midfield. Having shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw during their last meeting in February 2026, both sides will be eager to shift their momentum in this crucial encounter.
