Doncaster - Sheffield Wednesday

Doncaster Rovers enter this matchday 13 fixture looking to steady their progress after a challenging week. Recent results have been mixed for the hosts, who followed a narrow victory over Burton Albion with consecutive league defeats against Leicester City and Stockport County. Their path through the campaign has been defined by an inconsistent run, though they showed defensive resilience earlier in September with a clean sheet in their win against Peterborough United.

Sheffield Wednesday arrive at Eco-Power Stadium aiming to bounce back from a recent setback against Notts County. Before that defeat, they displayed significant attacking prowess in a dominant 5-0 win over AFC Wimbledon. The two sides last met in a competitive fixture on 19 February 2022, where Sheffield Wednesday secured a 3-1 victory. As the visitors seek to regain their momentum, Doncaster Rovers must find a way to contain an opponent capable of scoring freely.
