Egnatia - FC Midtjylland

Egnatia forward presence has been a defining feature of their domestic season, highlighted by a clinical 2-0 victory over Laci on 11 October 2026. As they prepare to host FC Midtjylland at Stadiumi Egnatia Rrogogzhine for this matchday 1 encounter, the hosts will look to channel the momentum from their recent Kategoria Superiore run. Having navigated a challenging qualification period earlier this autumn, Egnatia have demonstrated resilience in front of goal, consistently finding the net against diverse opposition. Their ability to manage high-stakes European nights will be tested as they seek to establish a foothold in the group stage.

FC Midtjylland arrive in confident form after a 2-1 defeat of FC Koebenhavn in the Danish Superliga. Their recent attacking displays, including a dominant 4-1 win against Broendby IF, suggest a side capable of controlling the tempo away from home. With a robust record in both domestic and European fixtures, the visitors bring a tactical discipline that could prove difficult to break down. This match promises a compelling tactical battle between Egnatia's direct approach and the visitors' structured, high-intensity play.
