Genoa - Fiorentina

Genoa face a significant test of their resolve as they look to overcome a difficult start to the campaign at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on 10 October 2026. The matchday 6 Serie A encounter sees the hosts navigating a challenging period, having struggled for consistency in recent weeks, including a narrow defeat to Parma Calcio 1913. With key figures Lorenzo Colombo and Djibril Sow sidelined through injury, the expected XI featuring Milutin Osmajic and Vitinha will need to find a clinical edge to break down a resilient visiting defensive unit.

Fiorentina arrive in high spirits following a productive run that saw them secure a 4-2 victory over Venezia and a solid draw against SSC Napoli. The visitors have shown a potent attacking threat in recent outings, though they remain wary of Genoa, who held them to a scoreless draw when the sides last met in May 2026. With David de Gea expected to anchor the backline, Fiorentina will aim to maintain their momentum in this tactical battle.
