Genoa - Venezia

Venezia arrive at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on 25 October 2026 looking to build on a morale-boosting victory over Napoli, as they face Genoa in this Serie A matchday 8 encounter. The visitors are navigating a challenging start to the season, having recently suffered a 3-1 defeat to Atalanta before finding their footing against the Neapolitans. With Armel Bella-Kotchap, Gianluca Busio, and Thierry Correia sidelined, the expected XI will rely on the attacking prowess of Akor Adams to test a Genoa defense that struggled in their recent 2-0 loss to Roma.

Genoa head into the contest aiming to rediscover the form that saw them edge past Fiorentina 2-1 earlier this month. Managerial plans are complicated by the absences of Djibril Sow and Lorenzo Colombo, leaving the expected XI to lean on the creative talents of Stephan El Shaarawy and Junior Messias. Historically, these sides have traded results, with Genoa claiming a 2-0 win in their most recent Serie A meeting in February 2025.
