Grimsby - Northampton

Grimsby Town forward Danny Rose will be looking to spark a resurgence as his side prepares to host Northampton Town at Blundell Park on 17 October 2026 for matchday 11 of the League Two season. The Mariners have endured a difficult run of late, suffering three consecutive league defeats, including a narrow 1-0 loss to Port Vale on 10 October 2026. After a promising period in mid-September where they secured back-to-back victories against Crawley Town and Bristol Rovers, the side has struggled to find the back of the net consistently, leaving them searching for a clinical edge to turn their recent momentum around.

Northampton Town arrive at Blundell Park following a 1-1 draw with York City on 10 October 2026, a result that highlights their ongoing battle for consistency this term. Their recent form has been testing, with the side finding wins hard to come by since their 1-0 victory against Newport County in early September. As both teams look to climb the table, this encounter offers a vital opportunity to rectify recent form and establish a foothold in the league standings.
