KuPS - Gent

Can KuPS find the defensive stability required to compete at this level when they host Gent at Savon Sanomat Areena on 5 November 2026? The home side enters this Conference League matchday 3 fixture following a challenging run, including a 2-0 defeat to AC Oulu in the Veikkausliiga Championship Group. KuPS have struggled to convert possession into results recently, as evidenced by their 2-2 draw with HJK and the 2-0 loss against Borac Banja Luka. They will need a disciplined tactical display to contain the visitors and secure a positive result on home soil.

Gent arrive in Finland looking to rebound from a 2-0 league defeat against Lommel. Their European campaign has been a mixed bag, highlighted by a 1-0 victory over AGF, though they also suffered a 2-0 loss to Braga in their most recent continental outing. With the ability to dismantle opponents, as seen in their 4-0 win against Anderlecht, Gent will aim to exploit any gaps in the KuPS backline. This encounter serves as a pivotal moment for both sides to establish momentum in the group stage.
