KuPS - Trabzonspor

KuPS and Trabzonspor meet at Savon Sanomat Areena on 15 October 2026 for the opening matchday of the Conference League. The hosts arrive following a challenging run in the Veikkausliiga Championship Group, where they recently suffered consecutive defeats against FC Inter Turku and AC Oulu. Their path to this stage was defined by a hard-fought qualification victory over Shamrock Rovers, secured after a narrow aggregate success in late August.

Trabzonspor travel to Finland looking to maintain the momentum from their emphatic 3-0 victory over Samsunspor in the Super Lig. Their domestic form has been marked by high-scoring wins, including a notable 4-0 result against Galatasaray, though they previously faced disappointment in their Europa League qualification bid against Ferencvaros. As both sides prepare for this first continental fixture, the focus shifts to whether KuPS can regain their defensive stability or if the visitors can translate their potent attacking rhythm into a successful start in this competition.
