Le Havre - Auxerre

Josh Maja remains the focal point for Le Havre as they prepare to host Auxerre on 18 October 2026 for this Ligue 1 matchday 7 encounter. The home side enters the contest looking to arrest a difficult run of form, having narrowly fallen to Lille in their most recent outing. Managerial concerns regarding the backline are heightened by the absence of Ayumu Seko, who is suspended, while injuries to Lionel Mpasi-Nzau, Timothee Pembele, and Elias Jelert further restrict options for the expected XI. Le Havre will rely on the midfield stability provided by Amir Richardson and Sota Nakamura to control the tempo against a visiting side looking to bounce back.

Auxerre arrives at Stade Oceane following a heavy defeat at Rennes, though they previously demonstrated their potential with consecutive wins over Brest and Nice. With Cameron Archer expected to lead the line, the visitors will look to exploit any defensive gaps left by the hosts' injury crisis. Recent history between these two clubs suggests a competitive affair, highlighted by their 1-1 draw in April 2026. As both teams search for consistency, the tactical battle in midfield will likely dictate the outcome of this pivotal league meeting.
