Lillestroem - Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad arrive at Aaraasen Stadion looking to build on a high-scoring domestic resurgence as they navigate the complexities of the Europa League group stage. The visitors head into this matchday 3 clash on 22 October 2026 following a clinical 5-2 dismantling of Malaga, a result that underscores their attacking potency. With Mikel Oyarzabal and Takefusa Kubo expected to lead the line, the Spanish side will aim to convert their LaLiga momentum into a crucial European victory after being held to a draw by Union St.Gilloise in their previous continental outing.

Lillestroem enter the contest with renewed defensive stability, evidenced by a recent 2-0 league win over Sandefjord. Having secured a resilient 1-1 draw against Sparta Prague in their last Europa League fixture, the hosts will rely on the attacking trio of Felix Va, Fredrik Gulbrandsen, and Daniel Bassi to challenge the Real Sociedad backline. With both teams seeking to climb the standings, this encounter at Aaraasen Stadion promises a tactical battle between Lillestroem’s industrious setup and the visitors' technical fluidity.
