NEC Nijmegen - FC Groningen

Midfielder Bryan Linssen will be central to NEC Nijmegen's ambitions as they host FC Groningen in this Eredivisie matchday 10 clash on 25 October 2026. Coming off a high-scoring 4-2 victory against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League, NEC are looking to translate that European form into a more consistent league run. The hosts have navigated a challenging sequence of draws, including a 1-1 stalemate with Ajax, but will have to adjust their defensive setup at Stadion De Goffert following the injury-enforced absence of Bram Nuytinck.

FC Groningen arrive looking to recover from a 5-2 defeat to Ajax, a result that interrupted their positive momentum after a convincing 5-1 win over Excelsior. With Thom van Bergen expected to lead the line, the visitors will aim to exploit any defensive gaps left by the home side. Given the competitive history between these two, including a 2-1 win for Groningen in May 2026, this encounter promises a tactical battle in the middle of the park.
