New York City FC - CF Montreal

Saturday at Yankee Stadium, New York City FC face CF Montreal for a critical Major League Soccer matchday 33 encounter. The hosts enter the fixture with renewed confidence following a 2-1 victory over Atlanta United on 28 October 2026, a result that halted a difficult run of form. With Alonso Martinez sidelined through injury, the expected XI features Hannes Wolf and Talles Magno leading the attack as the home side looks to capitalise on their recent momentum in front of their own supporters.

Conversely, CF Montreal arrive in New York enduring a challenging period, most recently suffering a 4-0 defeat against Charlotte FC on 28 October 2026. Their defensive stability will be tested as they manage significant absences, including Jalen Neal, Prince Osei Owusu, and Brayan Ceballos. While Montreal claimed victory in their previous meeting on 25 April 2026, their current struggle for consistency suggests a difficult task ahead.
