Rayo Vallecano - Celta Vigo

Rayo Vallecano look to regain their league footing as they prepare to host Celta Vigo at Campo de Futbol de Vallecas on 31 October 2026 for matchday 11. The hosts enter this encounter following a difficult 3-0 home defeat to Elche, though they recently found a spark in the Copa del Rey with a narrow victory over Recreativo Huelva. Managerial plans for the home side are complicated by the absence of the suspended Pathe Ciss and the injured Andrei Ratiu, forcing a reshuffle in a squad that relies heavily on the creative output of Isi Palazon and Alvaro Garcia in the expected XI.

Celta Vigo arrive with a more resilient defensive record, having recently held Real Betis to a goalless draw. While they navigate a busy schedule, they remain competitive across all fronts, bolstered by a recent European win against Celtic. With Miguel Roman and Alvaro Nunez sidelined by injuries, the visitors will look to Javi Galan and Marcos Alonso to anchor their backline. Historically, this fixture has proven tight, with their last meeting in January 2026 ending in a comfortable victory for Celta Vigo.
