Sabah FK - Borussia Dortmund

Can Sabah FK maintain their momentum as they face Borussia Dortmund on 20 October 2026 at Baku Olimpiya Stadionu? The matchday 3 encounter pits a side finding rhythm against a team looking to regain composure on the European stage. Sabah FK are expected to field an XI anchored by Stas Pokatilov in goal, with Joy-Lance Mickels leading the attack. Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, rely on the attacking prowess of Serhou Guirassy, supported by a midfield trio including Marcel Sabitzer and Ethan Nwaneri. With Konstantinos Karetsas sidelined through injury, Dortmund must find creative solutions to break down their opponents in this neutral-ground contest.

Sabah FK arrive in strong form, having recently secured a 2-0 Champions League victory against Slavia Prague and a 4-0 league win over FK Qabala. Conversely, Borussia Dortmund face a challenging period, following a narrow defeat to Bodoe/Glimt and a goalless draw with Union Berlin. Both sides will look to control the tempo in Baku, making the midfield battle between the likes of Veljko Simic and Jobe Bellingham pivotal. As the competition heats up, this clash offers a crucial opportunity for both teams to assert their standing in the group.
