Sarpsborg 08 - Rosenborg

Sunday afternoon at Sarpsborg Stadion, Sarpsborg 08 meet Rosenborg for this matchday 24 encounter in the Eliteserien. The hosts head into the fixture with renewed confidence following a 4-2 victory over Aalesund, a result that helped steady their form after a difficult run in September. Rosenborg arrive looking to maintain their momentum despite a recent 1-1 draw against Sandefjord, having enjoyed a productive spell of results throughout the autumn months.

Team selection will be a primary focus for the visitors, who face significant disruption due to the suspensions of Amin Chiakha, Ole Kristian Selnaes, and Tomas Nemcik. The expected XI for Rosenborg must adapt to these absences, while Sarpsborg 08 look to build on their recent attacking output. With a history of tight, competitive meetings between these two sides, including a 2-1 result for Rosenborg back on 12 April 2026, the game remains finely balanced.
