Sporting Kansas City - Austin FC

Sporting Kansas City enters this matchday 31 fixture on 25 October 2026 following a difficult run of results, including a recent 3-1 defeat to Real Salt Lake and a heavy loss against Nashville SC. The hosts have struggled to find consistency in recent weeks, managing only one victory in their last ten outings. Meanwhile, Austin FC arrives at Sporting Park aiming to reverse their own downward trajectory after suffering three consecutive league defeats. Their recent form has seen them struggle to keep pace, culminating in a 2-1 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps last time out.

The two sides last met in Major League Soccer on 17 May 2026, when Sporting Kansas City secured a 2-1 victory. With Sporting Kansas City missing Justin Reynolds, Lasse Berg Johnsen, and Moises Mosquera through injury, the expected XI will look to Stefan Cleveland to anchor a defense tasked with containing Brandon Vazquez and Myrto Uzuni. As both teams navigate a challenging end to their campaigns, the question remains whether the home side can leverage their previous success against the visitors to break their current winless streak.
