SSC Napoli - Roma

SSC Napoli and Roma meet on 24 October 2026 for matchday 8 of the Serie A season, with both sides looking to find consistency. Napoli enters this fixture following a high-scoring 4-3 victory against Bodoe/Glimt, though their recent league form has been inconsistent, marked by a recent 1-0 defeat to Venezia. Roma arrives in a more confident state, having secured a dominant 4-0 win over Slovan Bratislava in European competition and a clean-sheet victory against Genoa in their last league outing.

History suggests a tight contest between these two, with their most recent Serie A meeting on 15 February 2026 ending in a 2-2 draw. The expected XI for Napoli features Rasmus Hoejlund and Noa Lang in attack, while Roma will look to Santiago Castro to lead their line in the absence of the injured Paulo Dybala. Both teams must now navigate significant absences to assert their authority at Diego Armando Maradona.
