St.Truiden - Iberia 1999

St.Truiden look to find their rhythm as they welcome Iberia 1999 to Daio Wasabi Stayen Stadium on 15 October 2026 for this Conference League matchday 1 encounter. The home side has endured a turbulent period in the Belgian Pro League, recently suffering a high-scoring 4-3 defeat against KV Mechelen. Despite their inconsistency, they have shown flashes of quality, notably in a 4-1 victory over Royal Antwerp earlier this season. Finding defensive stability will be the primary objective for the hosts as they look to turn the page on their recent Europa League qualification exit.

Iberia 1999 arrive following a productive 2-1 win against FC Meshakhte Tkibuli in the Erovnuli Liga. Their domestic form has been largely positive, though they struggled to make an impact during their recent two-legged Europa League qualification tie against Jagiellonia Bialystok. The visitors will aim to exploit any lingering defensive frailties in the St.Truiden ranks to secure a result on their travels. With both sides eager to establish momentum in this opening group fixture, the tactical battle for control in midfield is expected to dictate the tempo of the contest.
