Union St.Gilloise - Real Sociedad

Thursday evening at Stade Joseph Marien, Union St.Gilloise welcome Real Sociedad for their second matchday fixture in the Europa League. The hosts enter the contest following a productive domestic run, highlighted by a commanding 3-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen in their previous European outing. With Herve Koffi expected to anchor the defence and an attacking unit featuring Mateo Biondic and Relebohile Mofokeng, the home side aims to maintain their momentum in front of their own supporters.

Real Sociedad arrive looking to recover from a narrow defeat to AFC Bournemouth in their opening group match. Despite recent defensive struggles, their forward line remains potent, evidenced by a 3-2 win against Deportivo de A Coruna in their latest LaLiga appearance. With Mikel Oyarzabal and Orri Oskarsson expected to lead the line, the visitors will seek to impose their technical quality on a challenging away stage.
