Venezia - SSC Napoli

Venezia are searching for a much-needed spark as they look to arrest a difficult run of form that has seen them struggle to find consistency. They host SSC Napoli at Stadio Pierluigi Penzo on 17 October 2026 for this Serie A matchday 7 encounter, hoping to overcome a series of recent setbacks. The home side will need to tighten their defensive structure, as injuries to Armel Bella-Kotchap, Gianluca Busio, and Thierry Correia have left them thin in key areas. Akor Adams and John Yeboah are expected to lead the line, tasked with finding a breakthrough against a disciplined opposition.

SSC Napoli arrive looking to bounce back from a midweek European disappointment, having recently secured a dominant 3-0 league victory over Frosinone. Despite missing Alisson Santos, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, and Mathias Olivera, the visitors boast a strong expected XI featuring Kevin De Bruyne and Rasmus Hoejlund. Historically, this fixture has proven challenging for the hosts, with Napoli keeping a clean sheet in each of their last four league meetings. Venezia will need to defy that trend to secure a positive result in front of their home supporters.
