Viking - Sabah FK

Wednesday evening at Lyse Arena, Viking and Sabah FK meet for matchday 4 of the Champions League. Both sides arrive looking to assert themselves in a demanding European campaign, with the hosts aiming to leverage home advantage to secure a vital result. Viking enters the contest following a narrow defeat to Bodoe/Glimt, though their recent European form includes a notable draw against Bayern Munich. The expected XI for the home side features the attacking trio of Zlatko Tripic, Erik Botheim, and Peter Christiansen, who will look to test a disciplined visiting defense.

Sabah FK travels to Norway seeking to bounce back from a recent league loss to Turan Tovuz. Their Champions League journey has been a mixed experience, highlighted by a victory over Slavia Prague earlier in the group stage. With Stas Pokatilov expected to start in goal, the visitors will rely on the midfield work of Veljko Simic and Du Queiroz to dictate the tempo. As both teams navigate the pressures of this continental competition, the ability to capitalize on transitions will likely prove decisive in this encounter.
