FC Koln - Schalke 04

Both sides enter this matchday 7 clash seeking a change in momentum after recent struggles in the Bundesliga. FC Koeln host Schalke 04 at RheinEnergieSTADION on 24 October 2026, aiming to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt. The home side will have to navigate this fixture without the influential Ellyes Skhiri, who is sidelined through injury. Their expected XI, featuring Marius Buelter and Mikey Moore in attack, will look to replicate the form that secured a hard-fought victory over Borussia Moenchengladbach earlier this month.

Schalke 04 arrive in search of a spark following a difficult run that includes a recent loss to Mainz 05. The visitors face significant personnel challenges, with Dejan Ljubicic, Kenan Karaman, and Moussa Sylla all missing due to injury. With Edin Dzeko expected to lead the line, Schalke 04 will hope to rediscover the attacking rhythm they displayed in their September win against Union Berlin.
