Hamburger SV - VfB Stuttgart
Hamburger SV host VfB Stuttgart at Volksparkstadion
Saturday afternoon at the Volksparkstadion, Hamburger SV and VfB Stuttgart meet for their Bundesliga matchday 6 clash. The hosts enter the fixture looking to build on their recent 3-2 victory against Hoffenheim, a result that provided a much-needed lift after a difficult run of form earlier in September. However, they face a stern test against a visiting side that has shown significant consistency on the road, including a recent 3-0 Champions League win over Slovan Bratislava and a 2-0 league success at Paderborn.
Team selection will be critical as both squads manage significant absences. Hamburger SV must navigate the match without the injured Nicolai Remberg, Albert Groenbaek, and Zakaria El Ouahdi, while VfB Stuttgart are missing Maximilian Mittelstaedt. The expected XI for the home side features Yussuf Poulsen and Fabio Vieira, while the visitors look to Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic to maintain their attacking momentum.
