England will again be without the suspended Jarell Quansah after his red card against Mexico. That meant a shift in defence for England with Ezri Konsa moving to right-back with John Stones partnering his Man City team-mate Marc Guehi in central defence. Reece James did well from the bench against Norway and could come into the starting XI for this crucial clash. Thomas Tuchel will also need to assess the fitness of Declan Rice after he struggled with illness and had to be replaced at half-time against Norway.
Argentina don't have any major injury issues to consider. The biggest call for them will be who partners Lionel Messi in attack. Julian Alvarez or Lautaro Martinez will battle it out for that place. Both scored in extra time in their win over Switzerland but it was Alvarez that started.
