Norway vs England - World Cup 2026 Betting Tips (11/07/2026)

Betting Tip:

Anthony Gordon to Score or Assist @ 2.37 - bet365

Anthony Gordon played really well on England's left wing against Mexico and looks to have found full confidence. Norway, like England, also has a few issues at right-back and it would be no surprise to see the Barcelona attacker have plenty of joy in this contest. Backing him to score or assist looks appealing.

England face Norway for a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup. England are odds-on favourites with bet365 at 1.85 with Norway priced at 4.00. The draw is available at 3.75.

We expect this to be a close clash that could come down to who takes their chances. Norway enjoyed plenty of possession against Brazil but did prioritise control rather than risk in the final third. England played well in the Azteca Stadium when beat Mexico and Anthony Gordon was a constant threat when running with the ball at feet. He can be a key player in deciding this tie.

Reasons to Follow this Bet

  • Norway have injury issues at right-back, which could see Gordon get more space to cause damage.

  • His performance against Mexico was his best of the tournament so far and he can build on that now.

  • With Kane and Bellingham consistently getting into the box, he will have good options to assist as well as score.

Norway vs England - Team News

Norway have a settled side and shouldn't make too many changes. Right-back Julian Ryerson is nursing his way back from injury and had to be replaced by Fredrik Aursnes in the second half against Brazil. Marcus Holmgren Pedersen would be the usual change for Ryerson but he is suffering from illness himself.

England's biggest issue also continues to come in the right-back slot. Reece James is nearing fitness but still might not be ready to feature here. Jarell Quansah came in for the Mexico game but will be suspended after picking up a red card. That could mean that Djed Spence comes in to cover in that position or Ezri Konsa moves over with John Stones slotting in at centre-back next to Marc Guehi.

Norway vs England Line-ups

Norway: Nyland -Ryerson, Ajer, Heggem, Wolfe - Berge, Berg - Nusa, Ødegaard, Sørloth - Haaland.

England: Pickford - Konsa, Stones, Guehi, O'Reilly - Rice, Anderson - Saka, Bellingham, Gordon - Kane.
